The SEPTA services provide a comprehensive transport system around the city, which are both train and bus services. A trolley bus is a good way of visiting all the sites and of getting around the city. There is also a subway service of three lines that travel under Philadelphia. Car hire is not recommended within the city as parking is extremely difficult, extremely expensive and parking restrictions are heavily enforced. Travelling to other cities: Buses travel regularly to Philadelphia from New York City, Newark, Atlantic City and Washington D.C. However, the Amtrak’s Northeast Corridor route which runs between Richmond, Virginia and Boston via Washington D.C and New York City is also a good way of travelling. There are also trains to Lancaster, Harrisburg, Pittsburgh and Chicago and to Florida. NJ transit also offers a service between Philadelphia and Atlantic City.
