Getting there: For the solo traveler, the best choice from all three airports is a shuttle van ($16–25). For groups of two or more, a taxi is usually a better value ($26–35 from LaGuardia; more than $36 from JFK and Newark). Other options, including JFK's Air Train and express buses from all three airports, are less expensive ($5–15), but do not go right to the hotel; travelers will need to take a taxi or subway for the balance of the trip. (All fees subject to change without notice.)
Getting around: Walking is an excellent way to visit nearby attractions and to experience the city. The subway is a good choice for other destinations, especially during rush hour (less than $5; fees subject to change without notice). Taxis are another good option for getting around town. Rental cars are not recommended.
